Kerala Agricultural University offers Post Graduation courses in subjects such as Agriculture Horticulture, Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Engineering. Graduation in respective subject with a minimum of 50% marks is the educational qualification. Admission to the courses is carried out on the basis of performance in entrance test and personal interview.

Eligibility Criterion
Candidates who have completed graduation in agriculture from any institution recognized by UGC can seek admission to M.Sc in Agriculture and M.Sc in Agricultural Economics. Graduation in any discipline from Kerala Agricultural University is the eligibility criterion required for admission to M.Sc in Co-operation & Banking and M.Sc in Home Science. Candidates who seek admission to M.Sc in Forestry should have basic degree in any of the subjects such as Forestry / Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Veterinary Science. Apart from this, degree holders having Higher Grade Certificate from Ranger’s College and Diploma holders in Forestry from State Forest College or Indian Forest College, Dehra Dun can also apply for this course.
Candidates who have graduation in Agriculture/Veterinary and Animal Sciences/ Fisheries/ Agricultural Engineering are eligible to pursue M.Sc in Agricultural Statistics. Those who are working in Kerala Agricultural University require mere graduation in Mathematics or Statistics. Candidates who have completed engineering graduation in agriculture are eligible to apply for M.Tech in Agricultural Engineering.
Those who have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in graduation are eligible to apply. Aspirants having the privilege of reservation can enjoy relaxation in terms of qualifying marks as per the norms issued by Government of India. Final year candidates, awaiting results can also apply for the courses. Admission to such candidates will be on the basis of submission of final mark list along with required marks.
Admission Procedure
Admission to all courses is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam, entrance exam and final interview conducted by the University. Application fee for the entrance exam is Rs. 750/-. Applicants having the privilege of reservation needs to pay Rs. 375/- as application fee. The duration of the entrance test is 2 hours. Candidates can expect objective and short answer type questions from subjects studied in graduate level. Maximum marks allotted for the entrance exam is 40. Those who have cleared entrance exam will be shortlisted for personal interview.
