Pharmacy Colleges in Rajasthan
Pharmacy institutions in the state of Rajasthan are either affiliated to the technical university or to the medical university belonging to the state and the norms and standards for these institutions are prescribed by the All India Council for Technical Education. The statutory body of the profession is the Pharmacy Council of India and the council regulates the curriculum followed in different pharmacy courses in the nation. Even the state of Rajasthan has its own council called Rajasthan Pharmacy Council for regulating the pharmacy education in the state. This council is operating from the city of Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan.
Affiliation of pharmacy colleges in the state of Rajasthan:
Most of the pharmacy colleges in the state of Rajasthan are affiliated to the Rajasthan Technical University and some of the colleges are also affiliated to the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences. All most all pharmacy colleges in the state are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.
Admission to pharmacy colleges in Rajasthan:
Admission of students to the pharmacy colleges in the state of Rajasthan is done based on the merit secured by candidates in RPETEAP, which stands for Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test for Engineering, Architecture & Pharmacy. For taking up this examination, candidates must have completed their higher secondary with physics and chemistry as main subjects in addition to any of the subject among biology/computer science/bio-technology/mathematics as optional subject. Even lateral entry is offered by pharmacy colleges in the state of Rajasthan for candidates with Diploma in pharmacy from a reputed institution.
