Life Insurance Company of India conducts exams annually to recruit eligible individuals for the post of Development Officers. Recruitment is conducted on the basis of scores obtained in written examination, personal interview and medical examination carried out by the organization. Graduation in any discipline is the minimum educational qualification required. Candidates who have completed MBA in Marketing will be given preference. Those who are between age group of 21 years and 30 years are only eligible to apply. Written test will contain objective type questions. The duration of the test is two hours. Candidates are required to apply online for the recruitment process. The application fees is Rs 300/-.

Eligibility Criterion

Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply. Candidates who have completed graduation in any discipline approved by recognized Universities are eligible to apply for this post. Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying exam. Those who are belonging to reserved category require only 40% marks so as to be eligible. Those who have completed Masters’ Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing or Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from a recognized University will be given additional preference. Those who have completed 21 years of age at the time of application are only eligible. Upper age limit is 30 years.

Selection Process

Recruitment is carried out on the basis of written test, personal interview and medical examination. There will be computer based test. Candidates can expect objective type multiple choice questions in the examination. Questions will be asked from topics such as logical reasoning, numerical ability, general awareness and English Language. There will be 50 questions from each section. Each question carries one mark. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. Candidates will be given a maximum of 2 hours so as to answer all the questions.

Those who have qualified the written test will be short listed for personal Interview. Final selection will be based on the composite scores obtained in written test as well as in personal interview and medical examination.

Application Process

Eligible candidates are required to apply online from the official website of the organization.  Candidates have to apply online after obtaining the receipt of the payment made at any of the LIC cash collection centers. The application fee amounts to Rs. 300/-.  Those who have remitted the application form can log in to the official website of the corporation and submit the application. Candidates will receive a confirmation message via email. They are advised to note the registration number for future reference.
