State Disaster Management Authority (Punjab) was established under the Government of Punjab. The authority comes under the administrative control of Department of Revenue, Rehabilitation & Disaster Management. The major objective of the authority is to perform management work in case of any disaster that happens in the state pf Punjab. The authority mainly aims to serve the people residing in the state of Punjab only. The authority performs tasks such as Capacity Building for diaster Response programme.

Job Profile:

Eligible and qualified candidates are invited to apply for the following positions of Rescue Worker cum Electrician, Rescue Worker cum Health Worker, Rescue Worker cum Mechanica and Rescue Group Member in State Disaster Management Authority, Punjab. Candidates will be recruited on contractual basis only.

1. Recruitment of Rescue Worker cum Electrician:
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 25 years as on 1 January 2011.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 10th standard with ITI certificate in Electrician or equivalent from a recognized institute or university.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 12000 per month.

2. Recruitment of Rescue Worker cum Health Worker:
No. of posts: Only 12 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 25 years as on 1 January 2011.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 10th standard with Auxiliary Nurse & Midwifery Certificate or equivalent from a recognized institute or university.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 12000 per month.

3. Recruitment of Rescue Worker cum Mechanic:
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 25 years as on 1 January 2011.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 10th standard with ITI certificate in Motor Mechanics or equivalent from a recognized institute or university.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 12000 per month.

4. Recruitment of Rescue Group Member:
No. of posts: Only 26 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 25 years as on 1 January 2011.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 10+2 standard with Science or equivalent from a recognized institute or university.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 12000 per month.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview test on the basis of the merit prepared after the competitive written examination.
