Research Scientists - National Remote Sensing Centre
National Remote Sensing Centre shortly called as NRSC is an important functionary of the Indian Space Research Organization and it strives to realize the vision of Indian space through Earth observations. The centre is responsible for ground segment of remote sensing programme through training and capacity building, remote sensing applications, dissemination, processing, archival and data acquisition.

National Remote Sensing Centre has called for eligible candidates for the position of Research Scientist under different disciplines on temporary basis for its ongoing projects and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this respect:
Name of the Vacancy: Research Scientist
Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 16, divided as follows:
• Research Scientist for Agro Meterology/Atmospheric Sciences – 01
• Research Scientist for Satellite Data Processing & GIS Analysis, Data collation and Database Design – 10
• Research Scientist for Software development – 05
Pay Brand: For the first discipline mentioned above, candidates will be getting a pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100 +GP 6600/-, while for the other two disciplines, they will be coming under the pay brand of Rs. 15600-39100 +GP 5400/-
Eligibility requirements:
Educational qualification and Experience: For each of the disciplines mentioned above, candidates must possess some specific educational qualification and some desirable years of experience, for detailed information about the same, candidates can download the advertisement notification from http://www.nrsc.gov.in/#app=a097&75d4-selectedIndex=4
Age: The minimum age requirement to apply all three disciplines is 18 years and maximum age requirement is 35 years as on the 15th of November 2011. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates subject to orders issued by the Government of India.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the details of marks furnished by them and on the basis of their experience and then shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
How to apply:
The National Remote Sensing Centre will host the application for online registration between 20th of October 2011 and 15th of November 2011 and no other means of application will be entertained. Once, a candidate successfully register online, he/she will be provided with online registration number, which should be preserved by the candidates for future reference. Applicants should compulsorily provide their email address when doing online application submission.
