The Cardinal Gracias Scholarship

The Cardinal Gracias Scholarship is founded on the eminence of Valerian Cardinal Gracias, who was the first President of the C.B.C.I. Society for Medical Education. The benefits of the scholarship are given for two meritorious students whose family income is less than Rs. 24,000/- per year.

The Dean Louis Monteiro Scholarship

Most needy one of the meritorious students can enjoy the benefits of the Dean Louis Monteiro Scholarship (given every year). Selected student is given with Rs. 24,000/- per year.

Rev. Fr. F.N. Loesch, S.J., Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship is given on merit-cum-means basis. It is usually awarded to first year MBBS students, whose family income is less than Rs. 6,000/- per year.

Karnataka Region Catholic Bishops’ Scholarship

Karnataka Region Catholic Bishops’ Scholarship is awarded on grounds of the conduct and behavior of the student and the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. It is given to any one Catholic student of Karnataka whose family income does not exceed Rs. 12,000/- per year.

Fr. John P.M. van der Ploeg’s Golden Jubilee 1982 Scholarship

This scholarship is given for religious sister medical student.

The S.J.M.C. Alumni Association Scholarships

The S.J.M.C. Alumni Association Scholarships are given for two meritorious students every year. Financial situation of the candidate is also taken in to consideration.

The S.J.M.C. Parents’ Association Scholarship

The S.J.M.C. Parents’ Association Scholarship is given on merit-cum-means basis for an MBBS student.

Mr. Thomas Putti Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded on merit cum means basis for students who are keenly interested in cancer research.

The Smt. Kamalamma Narayana Iyer Scholarship

This scholarship is given for one female MBBS student on merit cum means basis.
