National Geophysical Research Institute is an autonomousinstitute located at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The institute came into existence as a premier geoscientific research organization established under CSIR, India. The institute has more than 200 scientists and other technical staff enrolled in various research activities. Hydrocarbon and Coaln Exploration is one of the prime reserach area covered by the institute. The other research areas covered by the institute includes Management of Groundwater resources, earth’s interior, deep seismic sounding studies etc.

Job Profile:

Applications in the prescribed format are invited for the following positions of Scientists (Fellow) under the scheme ‘Quick Recruitment of Scientists (Fellows) for Major Research Projects’. Only eligible candidates are invited to apply for the specified positions in National Geophysical Research Institute. Candidates are required to be a Indian Nationals possessing a good academic record throughout with a high degree of motivation and propose to take up research in Earth Science as career.

Eligibility:

Candidates are required to have age below 40 years. 40 years is the maximum age limit set for the post of Scientist (Fellows) in National Geophysical Research Institute. Candidates must strictly follow this age criteria or else their application will not be accepted by the institute. Candidates having age below 35 years are desirable for the specified positions.

Educational Qualification:

Ph.D. in Science or Engineering or M.E. or M.Tech in Engineering is required as the minimum educational qualification for applying for the post of Scientist (Fellow) in National Geophysical Research Institute. Candidates are required to possess the prescribed educational qualification in the field or diciplines of Geophysics or Geochemistry or Chemistry or Geology or Applied Mathematics or Physics or Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.

For Range-I: Consolidated salary of Rs. 31000/32550/34100/35650/37200.
For Range-II: Consolidated salary of Rs. 36000/37800/39600/41400/43200.
