Dental Council of India was established on April 12, 1949 as a statutory body by the Government of India under an Act of Parliament i.e. the Dentists Act, 1948 (XVI of 1948). The council was financed by the Government of India, ministry of Health & Family Welfare which comes under the Department of Health. The Dental Council of India was incorporated under the The Dentists Act, 1948 with the main objective of regulating dental education and the profession throughout the country.

Candidates can apply for the post of Secretary in Dental Council Of India depending on their educational qualification.

Candidates should be less than 45 years of age. Relaxation is provided as per rules.

Candidates should have done MDS degree from a recognized institute or university.
