Andhra Pradesh State Remote Sensing Applications Centre has called for online applications from eligible candidates for the position of Senior GIS Analyst to work in one of its projects called as Space Based Information Support for Decentralized Planning and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this respect.

Name of the Vacancy: Senior GIS Analyst

Number of Vacancies: 30

Terms of employment: Appointment will be purely on contract basis and the position is purely temporary in nature.

Terms of Reference:

According to terms of reference, Senior GIS Analyst will be responsible for a team of GIS Analysts in base maps preparation with the help of satellite data – legacy data processing and onscreen digitization techniques, digitization of scanned maps. Responsibilities also include attribute table data incorporation and other related tasks.

Educational Qualification and experience:

To apply for the position of Senior GIS Analyst, candidates must have completed their Master of Technology in RS & GIS or Spatial Information Technology/Master of Computer Applications/Master of Science in Geo-informatics with at least three years of experience in quality control of GIS layers and experience in database designing/satellite data analysis, legacy data processing and geo-rectification.
