Office of the Director General of Prisons was incorported under the control of Government of India. The main idea behind its establishment was to provide safe and secure detention of the prisoners committed to Prison custidy. Prison department was founded with the aim of providing minimum standard of living or treatment to the prisoners and also to reform them by involving them in various educational activities. Director General of Prisons is the head of the Prison Department. The Director General of Prisons is assisted by Additional Inspector General and Deputy Inspector General of Prisons.

Job Profile:

Office of the Director General of Prisons is inviting applications from the eligible candidates for the posts of Senior Residents and Junior Residents in its Prosns Department GNCT of Delhi. Applications are invited in the prescribed format only.

1. Recruitment of Senior Residents (Radiology):
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have done Post Graduate Degree or Diploma from a recognized university in the concerned speciality.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

2. Recruitment of Senior Residents (Chest & TB):

Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have done Post Graduate Degree or Diploma from a recognized university in the concerned speciality.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

3. Recruitment of Senior Residents (Ortho.):

Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have done Post Graduate Degree or Diploma from a recognized university in the concerned speciality.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

4. Recruitment of Junior Residents:
No. of posts: Only 9 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 30 years.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have done MBBS degree from a recognized university. Must be registered with Delhi Medical Council.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Application Fee:

General and OBC categories candidates are required to submit a non refundable application fee of Rs. 200 only. No application fee is need to be submitted by SC/ST categories candidates. Candidates should submit the prescribed amount of application fee through a Indian Postal Order or Bank Draft made in favour of DDO PHQ Central Jail, New Delhi.

How to apply: Candidates are required to produce all original documents and recent passport size photograph at the time of interview for verification and proof of identification. Eligible candidates should apply in the prescribed format alongwith IPO or Bank Draft and attested copies of all certificates to the below mentioned address.
