UGC NET syllabus for Management includes topics from the core subjects and the electives. Examination is based on the syllabus prescribed and mainly caters to basics of different management functional areas.

UGC NET Examination pattern for Management

The UGC NET Exam for Management has three papers. Paper 1 is the General paper. This paper tests the student’s aptitude, reasoning skills and general knowledge. Paper 1 follows the objective based multiple choice question model. Paper II is also objective. It contains 50 questions. Each question carries 2 marks. It includes multiple choice questions, assertion-reasoning questions, matching type questions and true/false questions. Paper II carries a total of 100 marks.

The third paper is descriptive. It is divided into two parts – Part A and Part B. Part A contains 10 short essay type questions. Candidates are required to answer the questions in 300 words. There will be internal choice for each question. Each question carries 16 marks. Part A carries a total of 160 marks. Part B includes questions based on the elective subjects in Management. One essay question will be asked from each of the electives. Candidates can choose any of the electives. The essay question carries 40 marks. Candidates are required to answer the essay in 800 words. Paper III carries a total of 200 marks.
