Tarapith College of B. Ed was established with the objective of meeting the long-felt need for a teacher education college in the Rampurhad sub-division of the district of Birbhum in the state of West Bengal. The basic motto behind the establishment of this college is to offer a scope to the educated youth for joining the holy profession of teaching.

Tarapith College of B. Ed as the name implies offer Bachelor of Education course with affiliation from the University of Burdwan and the course is also recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education.
