National Institute of Animal Biotechnology is an autonomous institute which is mainly induldged in the field of research activities. The institute comes under the administrative control of Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology. The institute was set in the Hyderabad region. The present Officer on Special Duty of the institute is Mr. Pallu Reddanna, who is a Professor in the School of Life Sciences (Biotechnology) in University of Hyderabad. The institute mainly aims to perform various research activities in the field of animal biotechnology.
