Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (APGENCO) limited was incorporated under the provisions of Companies Act, on 29.12.1998. The company started its business operations from 1.2.1999 under the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Reforms Act, 1998. The corporation holds the pride of being the third biggest power generating corporation in the whole country. The corporation has instilled a hydro capacity of 3751.4 mega watts, which is the second highest capacity as far is hydro electricity in India is concerned. APGENCO contributes about half the total Energy Requirement of Andhra Pradesh with an installed capacity 8174.9 MW comprising 4382.50 MW Thermal, 2 Mega watts Wind power stations and 3751.40 Mega Watts Hydro. The mission of the company is to generate adequate and reliable power most economically, efficiently and eco-friendly. The vision of the company is to be the best power utility in the country and one of the best in the world.

Eligibility:
Age criteria – The upper age limit is 38 yrs. The upper age limit is relaxed up to 5 yrs for SC/ ST/ BC candidates and 10 yrs for PH candidates.
Educational qualification – Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics or Civil Engineering.
Selection Process:
Candidates are selected for the post through written test and merit. The written test will be held at Hyderabad and Secunderabad only.

Application fee:
Examination + application fee of Rs. 500 (Rs. 150 for SC/ ST/ PH and BC candidates) must be paid in any one of the A.P Online Centers or A.P Online Portal listed in the website, and fees payment receipt with Journal number.
