Xavier’s Labor regional Institute(XLRI) School of Business and Human Resources is a minority Jesuits’ Organization, and was established in the year 1949 by Fr. Quinn Enright S.J. with a mission to be a part in the development of  independent India, and having a vision of “renewing the face of the earth” Soon a second visionary Fr. Bill Tome put forward his efforts in building and managing the institute to the right terms of overall development of its students and all those people in direct relation with it.

Campus

XLRI is located in a beautiful place having a remarkable location. The Tata Iron and Steel Company are towards the south of the college. the Dalma hills can be observed towards the North, the Institute is close to the Jubliee Park, which provides and excellent and beautiful atmosphere of peace, and serenity.

The institute consists of a well stocked library containing over 10000 books and journals and hundreds of computer CDs and electronic database. The library is the ground floor of the institutional building and consists of a separate reading room, a computer area, and a reception for circulation.

Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls in the campus itself.

Admission Procedure

XLRI relies on the scores of a separate examination conducted by the institute itself known as the XLRI Admission Test or XAT. Based on the scores of this examination the candidates are short listed for admission and final selection is made through them.

Since the institute is one of the finest in the country, the placements of the institute are superb. Leading companies from all over the globe visit the campus and almost all of its students got placed in the year 2008. Some of the recruiters were
