Army Institute of Management-Kolkata 2011 MBA

The Army Institute of Management is another important and popular institute that has joined the saga.
Army Institute of management offers MBA programs to the aspiring candidates from all over the country. The institute is known to offer quality MBA programs to the aspiring candidates. The institute is one of the best one in the country and is thus preferred by many all over the country.
Army Institute of Management, Kolkata conducts an admission process for its two year MBA program. The institute was established in 1997 by Army Welfare Education Society for wards of Army personnel. Therefore it has 80% reservation for wards of Army personnel whereas for the rest 20% seats General candidates can also apply. There are a total of 120 seats in its MBA programme. AIM is a highly reputed institute for management education. The fees for its MBA programme is greatly subsidized and is much less as compared to other management institutes. AIM has been approved by AICTE and is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology.
Candidates are shortlisted for MBA programme of Army Institute of Management on the basis of their CAT scores. Candidates have to also apply separately for admission in AIM. The candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their scores in CAT have to appear in a further selection process consisting of a Group Discussion and Personal Interview after which the final selections are made.
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institute with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Graduation. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.
Availability of Application forms:
The application forms for AIM-Kolkata will be directly available from the institute for Rs. 750 for Army Wards and Rs. 850 for General candidates. Candidates can also obtain the application form by sending a demand draft of Rs 800 for Army wards and Rs 900 for General candidates in favour of “Director – AIM” and payable at Kolkata at the address mentioned at the last. Application form can also be downloaded through the website www.aim.ac.in.

• Last date of submitting completed application forms: end week of November, 2011
Selection process:
Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their CAT scores. The shortlisted candidates are then called for further selection process consisting of a Group Discussion and Personal Interview after which the final selections are made.

i D.ARUN KUMAR PRASAD has just now completed degree( b.com(comp)),. i am an ex-services man son.i wrote MAT entrance exam & i got 72%. can i apply through MAT score or else have to write CAT exam.& what are the minimum marks should i get in it. may i know the fee structure of the course. is any reservation for the son of ex-army( sub major)
