The University of Hyderabad conducts a screening test for admission in the M.Sc based program in the Mathematics (Applied Maths). The question paper is broadly divided into two sections namely Part A and Part B. the maximum marks associated to the paper is seventy-five and has a duration of tow hours. Part A and Part B both contain questions offered with four choices. Candidates have to choose any one of them. Part A carries a maximum of twenty-five questions with each of the question carrying a maximum of one mark, if answered correctly and a negative of one-third, if answered incorrectly.

Part B also has a total of twenty-five questions with each of the question carrying a maximum of two marks if answered correctly and a negative of two-thirds marks for answering incorrectly. Like Part A question, Part B questions also receive a maximum of four options with each of the question and candidates have to choose any one it.  Each of the parts has to be answered in different OMR answer sheets as provided by the authorities.  Candidates’ can also practice Mock Test for further build up of confidence.
