Master of Arts degree is offered by every post graduate college as the specialization in every field can be obtained after masters. Historical methods and historiography is the course which deals with the different methods involved in the research in the historical method.

Paper Pattern:

Questions in the paper of Historical methods and historiography are of subjective nature.  You will find total 10 questions in the paper, but you have to answer only 5. All questions asked are of long answer type and answers should be given in suitable lengths.  Question pattern is very simple and questions are asked in a straight way.  The paper does not contains questions having sub-questions, so candidates have to write their answers in such a way that it meets the requirements of the questions and fulfils the demand of the questions.

Questions asked are of subjective type and answers should be written as accurately as possible. Questions are asked on the Roman historiography, Medieval Christian historiography, internal criticism and important steps in it, relative importance of facts and interpretation in history, Marxist historiography, notes on branch of history, Indian nationalist historiography, subaltern studies etc. Questions are asked in a straight manner and answers should be given in proper way to get the maximum marks.

Total marks and time allotted:

Maximum marks which can be obtained in this paper are 80 and time allotted for this purpose is 3 hours only. Each question is of 16 marks each and there are no sub-questions in the paper.
