Company profile: Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited is a reputed mini ratna govt. undertaking. It has the biggest mechanized lignite mines in India and it is mining lignite at a very large scale. It also generates power using lignite.

Job profile: The deputy medical officers will be responsible for work in different areas of medical sciences. They will responsible for providing medical attention to the employees of the company and also to the patients in the company’s local hospital.

Eligibility: A candidate must be below the age of 32 years as on 1st September 2009. However, relaxation can be claimed as per the rules.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have a BDS or an MBBS degree. A candidate must be registered with the Medical Council of India or the State Medical Council and a candidate must also have a minimum post registration experience of 2 years in a govt. or a private hospital.

No. of posts: There are 25 posts for the medical officers with a degree of MBBS and 3 posts for the officers with a BDS degree (dental officers). These posts include 4 posts for SC, 3 posts for ST and 7 posts for OBC. 2 posts are also reserved for PH candidates.

Pay scale: The deputy medical officers will be given a pay scale of Rs20600-46500 in grade E-2 plus other usual allowances as per the rules.

Selection process: The candidates will be short listed on the basis of their educational qualifications and experience and after the short listing of candidates they will be called for an interview.
