Power engineering is a branch of engineering which is related to the production and supply of power i.e. electricity.  It deals with all the aspects of power generation and utilization.

Course Outlook:

Engineering course in power is a four year full time course. The course consists of eight semesters of six month duration each. Each semester is followed by an exam which has to be passed by the candidate in order to get promoted to the next semester. The exams consist of both theory as well as practical papers.

Eligibility:

For getting admission to an engineering course, the candidate must have passed the higher secondary school certificate exam from a recognized board. The candidate must be of science stream with physics, chemistry and mathematics as the main subjects in the higher secondary schooling. The admission to the engineering courses is based on entrance tests. All India as well as state level entrance tests are organized to take admission in to different colleges. The candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the 10+2 exams.

Job Prospects:

There is wide application of the branch power engineering. Due to the awareness towards sustainable use of recourses, more emphasis is given on the production of power by renewable source of energy and their efficient utilization. Power engineers work in power generating houses, renewable power plants, in industries which are working towards making power efficient good etc.

    i got the Degree of B Tech (Hons) four year degree from university, Now i want to know that is my Degree is equelent with MSC Sixteen year education or not.
    2nd question is that.
