Diploma in System Software Development (DSSD), Diploma in Embedded Systems Design (DESD), Diploma in Advanced Business Computing (DABC), etc are some of the courses offered through CDAC. These are postgraduate level courses having duration of 22 weeks. Admission of eligible candidates to these courses is done via a common entrance exam conducted by CDAC.

Basic Eligibility for CDAC CET

Aspirants who have completed their engineering degree (in any discipline) can apply for common entrance test conducted by CDAC. Apart from this, candidates who have pursued any of the following courses are also eligible.

• Master of Science in Instrumentation

Exam pattern of CDAC CET

There will be five sections in this entrance test. Total time allotted for the completion of the test is two hours. This test is carried out as an objective model one having questions to assess a candidate’s technical and general aptitude. Main topics included in the entrance test are

• Computing Fundamentals
• Fundamentals of Programming
• Programming in C
• OOP concepts and C++ programming
• General Aptitude

In technical section, one can expect questions on programming, database concepts and networking as well. General aptitude may have questions on reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and English grammar.

• Last date of receiving CDAC CET Application Form: First week of January
• Date of CDAC Entrance Exam: Last week of January
• Date of declaration of CDAC CET results: Second week of February

Official web portal of CDAC may contain detailed information on eligibility requirements and application procedure. Applications for CDAC CET can be forwarded through its official web portal. One must pay an application fee of Rs.400/- before they start the application process. Fee amount can be paid either in the form of demand draft or National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT). Fee payment in the form of DD can be made through any of the nationalized banks of India. It must be taken in favour of ‘C-DAC Hyd – Training’ payable at Hyderabad.
