Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc (IT) in NM College of Economics and Commerce

Following are the main eligibility criterion for joining B.Sc (IT) course –

Those candidates who have qualified 12th  from any recognized board by scoring at least 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates) can apply. It is compulsory for candidates to study either Mathematics or Statistics as main subjects in this level to apply for the same.

Candidates who have completed diploma course (after completing 10th class) in any of the following streams can also apply –

  • Electronics and Video Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Computer Technology
  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Civil & Allied Branches

Such candidates can directly obtain admission to second year B.Sc (IT) course. On the other hand, those candidates who have obtained a post HSC-Diploma in streams like Computer Technology, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Allied branches also become eligible to apply for second year B.Sc (IT) course. It is also necessary for diploma candidates to secure a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examination (40% marks for reserved category students).

Admission Procedure for B.Sc (IT) in NM College of Economics and Commerce

A merit based selection procedure will be followed to give admission for B.Sc (IT) course in this university. As part of this, selection will be done on the basis of marks secured in both 12th class level (in subjects Mathematics or Statistics) and 10th class level.

All the major categories of fees are similar for all the three years of B.Sc (IT) course in this college. The project fees, convocation fees and university exam or form fees need to be paid only during third year of B.Sc (IT) course.
