How To Prepare For GMAT 2011
GMAT, the graduate management admission test is for those who desire to go abroad and pursue management course and to make their name in the field of business. GMAT opens the gate for the students who want to get into some of the best universities in the world. GMAT is an online examination and is conducted on a worldwide basis. Also, GMAT can be given as per your wish. You need to register first for the exam and you can give the exam after three months after the date of registration. Firstly, there’s some information about the pattern of the examination
There are three sections in the paper:-
• Quantitative section
• Verbal ability section
• Analytical writing
Here are some tips to work your way through GMAT:-
• Practice over the computer
Most of the exams are conducted on paper, but GMAT is conducted online. Many students do not have the habit of to give exams over the internet, so at times it can be a problem for some students to read questions on the computer properly and to analyse them correctly so you don’t make any mistake. Students appearing for the exam should practice giving exams over the internet. There are many mock GMAT exams available over the internet so practice giving exams on the computer.
• Work on basic concepts for quantitative section
Quant section consists of 37 problem solving and data sufficiency questions and the time to answer these questions is 75 mins. The syllabus for this section is maths up to the secondary level. So in order to maximize the score in this section your basic maths should be strong.
• Develop reading skills
The verbal section of the paper consists of many questions based on reading comprehension. In order to answer the question you need to work on reading skills so that you can read and analyse the passage. There is no fixed syllabus for the VA section.
• Take online lessons
There are many types of lessons available over the internet which helps in GMAT preparation. Some of these lessons are interactive in which you can interact with professionals which help you in solving questions.
