Sardar Patel Institute of Technology
The Sardar Patel Institute of Technology was set up long back in the year 1962 and it has been a great success since its inception. SPIT is associated to the Mumbai University and has the affiliation of AICTE. The college has a very rich history and provides sound technical education. It is an autonomous body.
Courses Offered
SPIT has a number of undergraduate and post graduate courses to offer in its curriculum. The courses in engineering that the students can opt from are: electronics engg, electronics and communication, information technology and computer engg. The institute also offers masters of computer application (MCA).
Infrastructure
The college spreads over an area of 47 acres of land in the Andheri (W), the pacy developing suburb of Mumbai. The college provides an environment for the overall development of its students. The college has modernized class rooms, well equipped labs, well stocked library, separate accommodation facilities for both girls and boys and game facilities.
Placements
The placement of the students takes place in big MNCs like HCL, IBM, WIPRO, TCS, MATRIX and ORACLE. The list of companies coming for campus recruitments is ever increasing.
Admission Procedure and Eligibility Criteria
The admission procedure is strictly regulated by the norms of the Directorate of Education and the Mumbai University. A candidate is eligible for admission only after qualifying the M-CET.
The candidate seeking admission must have an average score of 50% in total at the HSC or equivalent level.
