About the Subject

Arabic is also a part of CBSE class 10 curriculums, but it is not mandatory for all students to learn this language. However, interested students are allowed to take up this language. In this subject students are thought Grammar, how to frame sentences, how to use words in Arabic sentences, translation from Arabic into Hindi or English or translation from English or Hindi into Arabic etc. In addition to this they are also taught Prose and Poetry in Arabic language.

About the Paper Pattern

The Arabic Question Paper is of 100 marks and 3 hours duration. In total there are 7 questions, first 5 questions are of 10 marks each, 6th question is of 35 marks and last question is of 15 marks. The common questions are translation of Sentences and Passage from Arabic into Hindi or English or vice versa, from Grammar, using some Arabic words in a simple Arabic sentence, Grammar etc. Students are given an extra 15 minutes at the start of the exam to read the question paper. Students are strictly told not to write anything on the answer script during this time.
