Sardar Patel University conducts an entrance examination for admission to its Post Graduation Medical courses: MS, MD, M.Sc (Medical). It offers all these courses through HM Patel Institute of Post Graduate Studies. The institute was established by Charotar Arogya Mandal to provide quality education and research in the field of medicine.
Admission to all the post graduate medical courses is through an entrance examination conducted by Sardar Patel University. 15% seats in all the PG courses are reserved for NRI/NRI sponsored candidates. Admission to the NRI quota seats is done separately.

Anesthesiology, Radio-diagnosis, Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Obst. & Gynecology, Pediatrics, ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology. Pathology, Dermatology Venereology & Leprosy, TB S, Respiratory Diseases, Microbiology
M.Sc. (Medical) (2 years):
Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology
Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate must have done MBBS from an institute recognized by Indian Medical Council. The candidates who will complete their internship before starting of course can also apply.

The application forms will be available directly from the institute and can also be downloaded through the institute’s website www.charutarhealth.org.
Important Dates:
Last date for the receipt of completely filled Application Forms: end of January, 2011
Date of Entrance Exam: end of January, 2011
Selection Procedure:
Selection is based on candidate’s performance in the entrance exam and academic performance in MBBS. Candidate should also get at least 50% marks in the entrance exam to be eligible for admission merit list.
