The Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering was founded as an unaided self financing college of engineering by the contribution of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation. The college is mainly regulated and maintained by the contribution of both KSRTC and Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering Society. The college offers career based courses to the students of this state and outside of it. The college is affiliated to the Kerala University.

Infrastructure:

The college is situated at the southwestern tip of India, and is spread in large area to manage all sorts of facilities for its students. The college campus is crowded by the different buildings separated for faculties and students in order to maintain the discipline of this college. The college also gives transportation facility to its students as it is connected through the main city. The college provides state of art library, computer and internet labs, workshop and well furnished classrooms to its students.

The college offers various engineering courses to the candidates like Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Production, Automobile and Information Technology.

Admission Procedure:

The admission of the candidates is normally followed by the rules of Kerala University. The candidates have to pass the qualifying exam with 50% marks in order to get these courses. Candidates from lower caste (SC/ST) get relaxation of marks.
