I completed Msc. in zoology 4 years back and want to know about the admission procedure of phd in zoology or other related fields.i want to do my phd. in or near hubli,karnataka. pleae help.

Yes, you can register for phd in zoology in karnataka itself and since you din mention things properly better visit the university to find out the eligibility criteria. All the best.

you can do phd by quakifying net paper but you should mention your age also

my age is 26+ ; Is there ay upper age limit for phd. and how many years it takes to complete it? As i was not studying for last 4 yrs,does it makes any difference?please suggest.

To the best of my knowkedge,there is not age limit for persuing p.hd.
however,for JRF,NET,TIRF,CISR and few other autonomous organisation have there upper age limit ( 28 years).

A 4years gap will creat a little problem at the starting level.

In India p.hd. is of 2 years long programme.

Method of selection
The selection of research scholars will be based on performance in a written test and/or interview to be held at SCTIMST in November. Those who hold UGC/CSIR / ICMR individual fellowships need to appear only for the interview.


Prescribed form and prospectus can be obtained by a written request accompanied by a bank draft for Rs 600/- drawn in favour of SCTIMST, Trivandrum, in case of PhD programmes.
