Eligibility:

An upper division, second class degree of honours in Horticulture, is required to be possessed by the candidates who wish to pursue for the course. However, other related fields such as those of the agriculture and botany, are also rendered preferences.

Course Outlook:

The course calls for duration of two years, which includes the completion of project works and minute research works by the candidates.

Job Prospects:

A candidate can be benefited with an enormous number of job profiles, if he possesses a M. Sc degree in horticulture and that too with specialization in vegetable science. The most prominent of these are the posts of assistant professor, lecturer, associate or lecturer in diversified agriculture colleges and universities. The candidates can also render his services as a scientist in the field, if he succeeds in few examinations.
