High Court of Punjab and Haryana, also called as Punjab and Haryana High Court is a common high court for both the state of Haryana, Punjab and the Union Territory of Chandigarh. The court is located in the city of Chandigarh, which is the common capital for both the states.
Recruitment by High Court of Punjab and Haryana:
High Court of Punjab and Haryana has called for applications from eligible candidates for the position of clerk through online mode and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the court in this regard:

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 297, which is divided among the different sessions divisions in the state of Punjab as follows:

Pay Scale: Candidates appointed for the position of Clerks will be coming under the pay scale of Rs.10300-34800+Rs.3200 as GP.
Eligibility requirements:
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess a degree in arts of science or equivalent thereto from a recognized university and they should have passed matriculation with Punjabi as a subject. Candidates should also be proficient in operation of computers.
Selection Procedure:
Selection of candidates will be done after three stage selection process, which includes written test for a duration of two hours divided into two parts. Part I is general knowledge test for 50 marks for a duration of 60 minutes and part II is English composition test for 50 marks for a duration of 60 minutes. After written test, candidates equal to 3 times of number of vacancies will be short listed for taking up proficiency test in computer operation (spreadsheets and word processing) for 20 marks and finally candidates qualifying in both first and second stage will be called for Viva Voce and checking of original documents as the third stage of selection process.
Examination fee:
General category candidates of Punjab and reserved category candidates of other states will have to pay a non-refundable examination fee of Rs.500 and SC/ST/BC/OBC/ESM candidates of the state of Punjab will have to pay a fee of Rs.125. Fee should be paid before 25th of January 2012 through cash deposit receipt in any branch of SBI. The original copy of receipt should be retained by candidates for future reference.
How to apply:
As the first step towards applying, candidates will have to get registration ID and password to get print out of Cash deposit receipt for depositing examination fee. Then after payment of fee, they will have apply online with fee payment particulars at www.recruitmenthighcourtchd.com before 25th of January 2012
