Kerala CEE Chemistry Papers
The Kerala Common Entrance Exam popularly known as CEE takes place once a year mostly in April for all those students aspiring to pursue a B.E, Engineering, medical and law courses. The engineering and medical courses both have the option of chemistry in conjunction with physics in the entrance paper 1. This paper comprises of 120 questions weighing a total of 480 marks to be solved in time duration of 150 mins.
All the questions have four alternatives below them. The candidate is expected to solve the equation wherever necessary and choose the appropriate alternative. It is a hearty relief for the candidate that there is no negative marking. It is indeed important to be time efficient while solving the paper.
Since there is no fixed syllabus for the exam, a candidate can expect the questions from the syllabus of previous years. Most likely topics covered in the paper are basic concepts and atomic structure, molecular structure. Properties of elements such as hydrogen, Principles of metallurgy, Surface chemistry, compound and their characteristics, etc. Since there are no broad based questions, the candidate may be directly asked to choose a chemical formula or choose a chemical equation for a particular combination.
