Himachal Pradesh (HP) Public Service Commission came into existence as a responsible authority on January 25, 1971. The commission actually comes under Article 318 of the Constitution of India. Before the establishment of the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, the needs of the state of Himachal Pardesh were served by Union Public Service Commission. UPSC served the needs on the special request from the Government of Himachal Pradesh with the approval of President of India. However, after the establishment of HPPSC, all the needs of the state of Himachal Pradesh started to be served by HPPSC only.

Job Profile:

All eligible candidates having domicile of Himachal Pradesh can apply for the following four posts of Mining Officer, Assistant Environmental Engineer, Director and Assistant Director Fisheries in different department of Himachal Pradesh (HP) Public Service Commission. The recruitments for the posts of Mining Officer will be made on contract basis only.

1. Recruitment of Mining Officer Class-II:
Posts Available: Only 4 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Rs. 14500 per month is the salary.

2. Recruitment of Assistant Environmental Engineer Class-I:
Posts Available: Only 3 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

3. Recruitment of Director (Engineering College) Class-I:
Posts Available: Only 1 post is available.
Pay Scale: Rs. 18400-22400 per month is the salary.

4. Recruitment of Assistant Director Fisheries Class-II:
Posts Available: Only 2 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Rs. 7000-10980 per month is the salary.

Application Fee:

Rs. 250 is the application fee for candidates of General Category and Rs. 63 for candidates who comes under the reserved categories of SC/ST/OBC. The application fee is to be paid by the means of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar, Shmila-2″. The DD should be payable at Shimla only.

How to apply: Completely filled in application form supported by the copies of required certificates such as DOB certificate, domicile certificate etc is need to be submitted to the prescribed address. The address at which the application is need to be sent is given below.
