Punjab State Warehouse Corporation was originally came into existence in the year 1958. The corporation actually comes under the control of Government of India. The corporation was establihsed under the Agricultural Produce Corporations Act 1956 repealed by Warehousing Corporations Act 1962. The major objective behind the establishment of the corporation was to have a responsible or governing body for the purpose of warehousing of agricultural produce and other commidities. It has emerged as a premier corporation indulge in the warehousing of algricultural produce.

Job Profile:

Managing Director of the Punjab State Warehouse Corporation invites applications for the following posts of District Manager, Warehouse Managers, Technical Assistant and Godown Assistant:

1. Recruitment of District Managers:

Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5000.

2. Recruitment of Warehouse Managers:
Posts Available: Only 42 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

3. Recruitment of Technical Assistants:
Posts Available: Only 118 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 3800.

4. Recruitment of Godown Assistants:
Posts Available: Only 80 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 3800.

Age Criteria:

Eligibility criteria in terms of age limit is stictly need to be fulfilled by all candidates. Candidates should be between 18 to 37 years of age as on 1 Jnauary 2010. Relaxation is to be provided to only reserved category candidates.

Application Fee:

Rs. 500 is the application fee for General Category candidates and Rs. 250 is for reserved category candidates. Ex=Serviceman of Punjab are not required to submit any fee. The fe is to be paid in the shape of a crossed demand draft or pay order or banker’s cheque. It should be made in favour of Managing Director, Punjab State Warehousing Corporation, Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh. Candidates should write his or her name and address on the back side of the draft/pay order/banker’s cheque.

Selection Process:

The selection process is consists of a written examination and then a personal interview session with the selection committee on a specified date. Candidates will be informed about the schedules of written examination and interview test.
