Department of Medical Education is a particular department of Government of Himachal Pradesh. Government of Himcahl Prdaesh or State Government of Himchal Pradesh is the supreme authority of the state of Himachal Pradesh. Governor of Himachal Pradesh is who actually leads the executive branch of the Government of Himachal Pradesh. Governor of the Himchal Pradesh is (like other states in India) is appointed by none other than the President of India only. Department of Medical Education is a responsible body which is determined to keep an eye on the standards of the Medical Education in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

Job Profile:

Department of Medical Education (Himachal Pradesh) is conducting a Walk-In-Interview on January 7, 2011 for the dental faculty posts of Professor, Reader and Lectruer. All selection will be made on contract basis for a period of 3 years only.

Eligibility:

The upper age limit set for the posts of Professor, Reader and Lecturer is 69 years. No candidates should have more than 69 years at all. If any candidates found not eligible for any of the three post in any manner, then his candidature will be cancelled straightaway. So, candidates should check all the eligibility conditions for the three posts.

Educational Qualification:

For the post of Professor (Orthodontics): Must have done Post Graduation in the concerned speciality i.e. Orthodontics. Five years teaching experience as Reader or Assistant Professor in the Dental College recgnized by Dental Council of India in the concerned speciality, is also required.

For the post of Reader (Periodontics): Must have done Post Graduation in the concerned speciality i.e. Periodontics. Also 4 years teaching experience as Lecturer in the Dental College recgnized by Dental Council of India in the concerned speciality, is required for the post.

For the post of Lecturer (Periodontics): Must have done Post Graduation in the concerned speciality i.e. Periodontics from the University recognized from the Dental Council of India.

No. of posts: 10 posts are available in total.

Pay Scale: A prescribed amount of salary will be provided to the selected candidates depending on the post on which they will get selected in Department of Medical Education (Himachal Pradesh).

Selection Process:

A Walk-In-Interview will be held on Janaury 7, 2011 for making the selection or recruitment of the eligible candidates on the three specified postions in Department of Medical Education (Himachal Pradesh). The three specified postions are of Professor, Reader and Lecturer. No other kind of test is to be held after this Walk-In-Interview.
