Indira Gandhi Medical College is the Government-run medical college working under the jurisdiction of Himachal Pradesh University. The college is offering MD/MS, Diploma and different Para medical courses in addition to the MBBS course at the UG level. Admission to this college to the MBBS is done based on test called as Pre-Medical Entrance Test, which is conducted by Himachal Pradesh University on behalf of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

Dental College:

Himachal Pradesh Government Dental College & Hospital is also affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University and the college is approved by the Dental Council of India. The college is offering Bachelor of Dental Surgery course and for applying to this course, candidates must have completed their PUC/intermediate or equivalent course with not less than 50% of marks in English, physics, biology and chemistry subjects.
