National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW) was established on the 9th of March 1977 by uniting the National Institute of Health Administration and Education (NIHAE) with the National Institute of Family Planning (NIFP). This Apex Technical Institute is funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The NIHFW is established for promoting the Health and Family Welfare programmes in the country. The NIHFW performs its duties through education, training, research, evaluation, consultancy and specialized services.

Pay Scale – Consolidated pay of Rs. 65000 per month for Sr. Consultant (Tech), Rs. 60000 per month for Sr. Consultant (Finance), Rs. 55000 per month for Consultant (Medical), Rs. 40000 per month for Consultant (Finance), Rs. 40000 per month for Consultant (Management), Rs. 40000 per month for Consultant (MIS), and Rs. 35000 per month for Consultant (RO).
