The National Association for Software and Services produced a report in the year 2006 by conducting a survey of software companies incorporated in India and NASSCOM gave rating to the companies based on their revenue from exports (excluding the revenue from BPO and IT enabled-services).

According to this report by NASSCOM, the export from India’s Software industry was US $17.3 billion in the financial year 2005-06, which was a 33% increase as compared to the previous financial year. According to the ranking given by NASSCOM, the list of top software companies in India is given below:
