Nagpur University B.Sc (Final) Physics- Molecular Physics, Nuclear Physics and Solid State Physics (Paper-II) Papers
The Nagpur University which is also called Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University was established on August 4, 1923 in Nagpur city located in Maharashtra. It was named after Tukdoji Maharaj, It provides many courses, including Sanskrit, Marathi, Hindi and Urdu. There are many advantages in studying physics as it helps us to understand the different laws that govern our universe thus it helps us to interact with our environment better as technology cannot exist without physics .
About the Subject
In Paper II of B.Sc in Physics students are taught Molecular Physics, Nuclear Physics and Solid State Physics. In Molecular Physics students get to know about the different physical properties of molecules as well as of the chemical bonds which are present between different atoms. It is very much associated with Atomic Physics and various experimental techniques like spectroscopy are used in its study.
Nuclear Physics on the other hand deals with the atomic nucleus. Nowadays Nuclear Physics has become a very important subject of study because of its application in Nuclear Weapons and Nuclear Power Generation.
In Solid State Physics students are made aware of the different facts related to solids or rigid matters and how their properties are related to the properties at the atomic level.
Maximum Marks Allotted for this Paper
Students can score a maximum of 40 marks in this paper.
Pattern of the Question Paper
The paper has no sectional divisions as such. There are a total of five questions in this paper and each one is of eight marks. The questions may contain two or more sub parts whose mark varies in different questions and the marks of which are assigned against each of the sub parts. Over all each question is of eight marks. This paper contains no choices as all the five questions are compulsory but each question has internal choices. All the questions are serially aligned.
