The present name of TVB School of Habitat Studies is School of Planning & Architecture, Guru Gobind Singh Indra Prastha University. The institution began its journey in the year 1990 and within a short period of its introduction, the institution established itself as one of the best institutions in India for Architecture studies. Initially, the institution was functioning as a separate entity, however, in the year 2007 it was absorbed by the Guru Gobind Singh Indra Prastha University as its own department of architecture.

Course Details:

As mentioned earlier, TVB School of Habitat Studies is offering UG course in Architecture and this course was introduced with the objective of integration of architectural education with parallel and related fields like product design, town planning, engineering, construction, etc… The course is divided into two levels namely basic level and advanced level of which the basic level focuses on offering a firm foundation for building design and the advanced level designing education is taken to higher level of complexity and scale.

Eligibility requirement:

For seeking admission to the Bachelor of Architecture course offered by TVB School of Habitat studies, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination in 10+2 pattern or equivalent with not less than 50% of marks of aggregate marks. Candidates should have studied mathematics and English as compulsory subjects and they should have completed chemistry and physics subjects at the CBSE class 10 or any other equivalent examination.

Admission Procedure:

TVB School of Habitat Studies admits students to the Bachelor of Architecture course through Common Entrance Test, which is conducted in the month of May by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The subjects covered in Common Entrance Test are analytical ability, general awareness, aptitude for architecture, logical ability and English and mathematics as per CBSE syllabus.

How to apply:

Candidates will have to obtain the application form from the campus of GGSIPU during the month of April to apply for the Bachelor Architecture course offered by TVB School of Habitat Studies.
