Subordinate Services Commission was re-designated as Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on 26th September, 1977. Making recruitment to Group C and Group B posts in departments of Government of India is the main responsibility of SSC. Nine regional/sub-regional offices located at different states of India consitutes the network of Staff Selection Commission. A Chairmen assisted by two members and a secretary or controller of Examination, heads the commission.

1. Recruitment of Library Clerk (Laboratory):

Age Limit: Candidates should be in between 18 to 25 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

2. Recruitment of Assistant Examiner of Trade Marks & Geographical Indications:

Age Limit: Candidates should be in between 21 to 30 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

3. Recruitment of Library & Information Assistant (Repography):

Age Limit: Candidates should be in between 18 to 28 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

4. Recruitment of Fieldman:
No. of posts: Only 5 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than 30 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

5. Recruitment of Storekeeper:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be in between 18 to 27 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

6. Recruitment of Scientific Assistant-I:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be in between 18 to 25 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2800.

Application Fee:

Rs. 50 is the amount of application fee that is need to be submitted by the interested candidates belonging to General and OBC categories. Women/ SC/ ST/ PH /Ex-Serviceman candidates are not required to pay any kind of application fee for the post. The application fee must be paid through the means of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) only.
