Karnataka Institute of Medical Science, Hubli, Dharwad District was previously called as Karnataka Medical College, Hubli and this college came into existence in the year 1957. Initially, the college was functioning from the building of J.G. Commerce College and later it was shifted to its present campus that is spread over 100 acres of land. The institute has an approved intake capacity of 50 to 100 students per year for the MBBS course offered and it is also offering courses under nursing and para medical disciplines.
