Sashastra Seema Bal is a border guarding force with the mandate of promotion of security among people living in the border areas, to prevent smuggling and other illegal activities and to prevent unauthorized and trans border entries into or exit from the Indian territory.

SSB invites application from eligible candidates for the position of CT (Lab Assistant) and some of the details regarding the notification issued by SSB for this position are given below:

Name of the positions: CT (Lab Assistant)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 36, which is divided as follows:

• UR – 20

• SC – 02

• ST - 05

• OBC – 09

Pay Scale: Candidates appointed for the position of CT (Lab Assistant) will be coming under PB-1 with pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200+ GP of Rs.2000.

Place of Duty: Candidates can be posted anywhere in India as per the requirement of SSB.

Eligibility:

Age requirement: Candidates must be within the age group of 18 and 25 years of age to apply for the position of CT (Lab Assistant).

Educational Qualification: For applying to the position of CT (Lab Assistant), candidates must have completed their matriculation with science from a recognized institution or board. They should also possess certificate in laboratory assistant course from an institution approved either by the central government or any of the state governments of India.

Physical requirements: Male candidates should fulfill the physical standards of height of 170 cms and female candidates should fulfill the height requirement of 157 cms and the weight of the candidates must be in proportionate with their height according to medical standards. In addition, candidates should have a minimum distant vision of 6/6 and 6/9 in right and left eye without correction. Selection Procedure:
