General Cultural Scholarship Scheme
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) together with the Government of India offers eligible aspirants with a variety of scholarships as well as fellowships in a variety of programs and disciplines. The scholarships are also available for research work in addition to non formal courses.
The non formal courses encompass:
- Classical Music
- Crafts
- Dance
- Religion
Under the GCSS, scholarships are provided every year to students of foreign origin who belong to Asian, Latin American as well as African countries. The scholarships are offered for graduate and postgraduate degrees. It is also offered for students who aspire to do PhD at any of the universities in India.
General Cultural Scholarship
The General Cultural Scholarship Scheme (GCSS) in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) will offer 20 scholarships for students of Indonesian origin and 10 scholarships for those aspirants of Timor Leste. The fields which aspirants can pursue are mentioned below:

General Cultural Scholarship Eligibility
Aspirants need to have completed their class 10+2 or its equivalent.
