The degree of engineering is a prestigious degree and it offers a good job opportunity for the candidates. The degree needs Engineering Graphics as a subject in the 1st year of college. The subject holds a great importance in the course as it is needed in every branch.

Paper Pattern:

The question paper of Engineering Graphics is a subjective paper and all questions asked are of graphics drawing. Total no. of questions in the paper is 20 and it is divided into 2 sections. Section A is of 10 questions and each question is of equal marks. Section B is of 10 long answering type questions and each question is of equal marks. All questions in the paper are compulsory and don’t have any alternative in it. The questions in the paper are to be solved neatly and according to the questions.

Questions in the Graphics-I paper are on construction of drawing in paper and practical drawings of them. Some questions asked are such as Orthographic projection, definition of frustum, definition of truncated solid, apparent section, applications of developments of surfaces, definition of isometric scale, perspective projection, difference between first angle and third angle projections, definition of pictorial view etc.

Total marks and time allotted:

A maximum mark which is allotted to the paper is 80 and time allotted to the paper is 3 hours only. Each question in Section A is of 2 marks each and 20 marks are there in the section. Section B is of 60 marks and each question is of 6 marks each.
