BITS Admission Test (BITSAT) is conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Deemed University for the admittance of eligible candidates to the various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different streams of engineering offered by the institution. The aspirants those who have completed their 10+2 standard or equivalent from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects and have secured a minimum of 60% in each compulsory subjects and an aggregate of 80% in total in these compulsory subjects are eligible to apply for the test. The exam is conducted every year in the BITS campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. The exam is highly competitive and hence only well prepared candidates can clear the same.

The BITSAT Exam mainly consists of questions from the NCERT 11th and 12th standard syllabus. The topics included in each subjects for the exam are listed below.

Question pattern of BITSAT Exam

The BITSAT exam is a single stage on line examination which consists of a total of 150 questions from all the sections and the same has to be answered within 180 minutes. The questions will be objective type having 4 alternate options. The candidate has to choose the right one among the four options. There will be 40 questions from physics, 40 from chemistry, 45 from mathematics and 25 from English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning. The candidate has to attend all the sections within the limited time. There will be negative marking for all wrong responses and hence the candidate has to be careful while attending the unknown questions. The instructions and questions for the exam will be given in English medium only.
