NET German Paper III Papers
National Eligibility test or commonly known as NET is the east for lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship or JRF in the UGC. The test is conducted by UGC every year to determine the eligibility of the students. The paper is to examine the command on the language.
Qualification for appearing in this exam:
Students who are citizen of Indian Republic are eligible for the examination provided they have a degree of Masters in any of the branch with no backlogs from a recognised University or institution. Candidates who are in the final year, but they will have their final results in the time of final selection, can also apply. There is no age restriction for lectureship but for JRF, it is 28 years, however there is relaxation in the criteria for SC/ST candidates as per UGC norms.
Scoring and Negative Marking:
Paper contains subjective questions, so there is no provision of negative marking in the paper. So, students are advised to attempt the whole paper.
Mode of Exam:
Paper is taken as conventional type and answers are to be given on an answer sheet.
Format:
Paper contains questions which are of theoretical type and these are divided into sub-questions for ease of students.
Paper Pattern:
Paper of German III consist of 26 main questions in it and all questions are kept in 4 sections, Section I is of 5 questions based on an unseen passage, Section II is of 15 short questions based on the language. Section III is of 5 long answer type questions, each of same marks. Section IV is of 1 very long answer type, Essay type question.
Marking:
Total marks which can be scored are 200 and questions asked are of different marks in each of the parts.
Schedule:
Time span for the paper is 2 hours and 30 minutes only.
