Kakinada is a municipal corporation and a city in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh and the city is located at a distance of about 465 kilometers from capital city of the state being Hyderabad. The city acts as the headquarters of the East Godavari District and it is popularly called as Fertilizer City, second Madras and Pensioner’s Paradise. Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada came into existence in the year 1958 and it is Government College affiliated to the NTR University of Health Sciences located in Vijayawada. The college offers MBBS, MD and MS courses with approval from the Medical Council of India and as far as MBBS course is concerned, the approved intake capacity of the institution is 150 students per year.
