Rajasthan Public Service Commission was incorporated as a premier commission of the Government of Rajasthan. The commission is responsible for organizing or conducting recruitments exams for the posts of officers in various departments of the Government of India. The office of the commission is located at Jaipur Road, Ajmer. The commission actually came into existence on August 16, 1949. The commission actually started off with the strength of one Chairman and two other members. S. K. Ghosh was appointed as the first chairman of the commission.

Job Profile:

Rajasthan Public Service Commission is going to conduct a competitive written examination followed by an interview test for making recruitment on the vacant posts of Motor Vehcile Sub-Inspector. Only eligible and qualified Indian Citizens are invited to apply online for the specified position in the Motor Transport Department in Government of Rajasthan.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for the post of Sub-Inspector (Motor Vehicle) is 18 years as on 1 Janaury 2012.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Sub-Inspector (Motor Vehicle) is 37 years as on 1 Janaury 2012.

Reserved categories candidates may get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit as per the rules of Government of India.

Physical Standards: Candidates must meet with the following Physical Standards:

Male Candidates: Height- 168 cm Chest- 81 cm (without expansion) and 86 cm (with expansion).

Educational Qualification:

Interested candidates must posses the prescribed minimum educational qualification set for the post i.e. candidates should have passed Secondary Examination from a recognized board. Besides this, candidates should also possess Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized State Board of Technical Examination. Candidates are also required to possess working experience of minimum one year in a reputed Automobile workshop or in other relevant field. Candidates must also hold a driving Licence for Motor Cycle, Heavy Goods vehicles and heavy passenger vehicles.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be gievn the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade pay of Rs. 2000.

The prescribed amount of application fee is need to be submitted by the interested candidates before applying online at RPSC website. Candidates can submit their application fee by the means of internet banking or C.S.C..

Application fee for General and BC (creamy layer) candidates: Rs. 250 only.
Application fee for BC (non creamy layer) candidates of Rajasthan: Rs. 150 only.
Application fee for SC/ST candidates of Rajasthan: Rs. 50 only.

Selection Process:

Selection Process is comprises of a Objective Type Written Test followed by a Personality and Viva Voice Examination. The Objective Type Written Examination will consist questions of General Knowledge, Language and Automobile and Mechanical Engineering.
