Employees’ State Insurance Corporation was formed by the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 under Government of India. The scheme was inaugurated on February 24, 1952 by then Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. Dr. C. L. Katial was the first Director General of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. The scheme was simultaneoulsy launched in the state of Delhi. The corporation was started with the aim of providing health insuarnce scheme for factory workers. The coproration has emerged as a self financing social security scheme in recent times.

Job Profile:

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is going to conduct a Walk-In-Interview for making recruitment of eligibel Indian Nationals for filling up the following vacant positions of Senior Resident and Junior Resident. Candidates will be recruited purely on contract basis for a period of 3 years under Tresidency Scheme. The recruitment of candidates is subject to renewal or extension every year. The vacancies are available in the speialization of Medicine, Cardiology, Nephrology, Opthalmology, Surgery, Psychiatry, Paediatric, Radiology CT/MRI, Ortho and Skin & VD.

Eligibility:

Senior Resident: Candidates are required to have age not more than the prescribed maximum age limit i.e. 35 years as on 31 January 2011. Candidates having age more than the prescribed upper age limit, will not be considered eligible for applying for the posts of Senior Residents in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation.

Junior Resident: The maximum age limit set for the post of Junior Resident is 30 years as on 30 January 2011.

Relaxation will be provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Senior Resident: The minimum educational qualification required to be possessed by the candidates for the specified posts is Post Grduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned speciality from a recognized university. Those candiates, who are not Posr Graduate but possess atleast 2 years experience after MBBS, are also eligible to apply. But they should have one year experience as Junior Resident from any recognized Government Hospital.

Junior Resident: MBBS degree from a recognized university is required for the post. The university from which the degree has been awarded should be registered with the Medical Counicl of India or Delhi.

No. of posts: Total 65 posts are available.

Senior Resident: Only 36 posts are available.
(General-12, SC-8, ST-3 and OBC-13)

Junior Resident: Only 29 posts are available.
(General-11, SC-5, ST-6 and OBC-7)

Pay Scale:

Senior Resident: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.
Junior Resident: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Application Fee:

Interested candidates must submit the prescribed amount of application fee by the means of a Demand Draft only. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of ESi Fund Account No. 1 payable at New Delhi. The amount of application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs. 100 while candidates belonging to SC/ST categories are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 25 only.

How to apply: Candidates are required to being all their documents (original and photocpies of documents) at the time of their Walk-In-Interview. The venue for the Walk-in-Interview is given below:
