Dental Surgeon, Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is given the responsibility of development of the state though various activities like conducting examinations, recruitment of officers in various departments and disciplines, advising the govt. on the methods of recruitment and conduction of examinations, dealing with disciplinary matters etc.
Job profile: The dental officers will be working under the medical department of U.P. The dental surgeons will be responsible for taking care and providing medical attention to the dental patients. They will be responsible for reporting in case of any emergency.
Eligibility: A candidate must be between the age of 22 and 35 years. However, relaxation can be claimed as per the rules.
Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have a first class BDS (bachelor of dental science) degree from a recognized university or an equivalent recognized by the Indian Dental Council. A candidate with a 2 years experience in the Territorial Army and with a B certificate of National Cadet Corps will be given preference.
No. of posts: There are 60 posts in total which include 40 for general, 11 for OBC, 8 for SC and 1 for ST.
Pay scale: The dental surgeons will be given a pay scale of Rs8000-13500 (old pay scale) plus other allowances as per the rules.
Selection process: The candidates will be required to appear for a written test/interview as decided by the selection committee.
How to apply: The candidates can obtain the form from the various post offices in U.P (details given in the advertisement). The candidates are required to send the attested copies of their supporting documents along with the forms. The applications must reach the Secretary, (Deptt No.) Public Service Commission, U.P, 10 Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Allahbad-211018
The last date for the receipt of applications is 22nd September 2009.
